Get Hired Week 7: Interview Rejection and Your Mental Health

Mental health is truly important in your search for work so ensure you are putting enough energy into looking after yourself as well as your job search.  

With competition for jobs extremely high at the moment, the likelihood for rejection is quite likely. We understand that this can have a huge impact on your mental health and wellbeing as well as many other stresses due to finances and family.

Maintaining confident in your job search even after a rejection is not easy! Here are some ideas to keep you confident and remain motivated in your search for work:

Mindful working means being focused and aware in the workplace. Mindfulness can help to reduce stress and conflict in the workplace whilst increasing resilience and emotional intelligence. How can you become more mindful in the workplace? 

Rejection in any sense can be hard on your mental health, especially when you are perfectly capable of all the jobs you are applying for. How can you continue to search for work with your mental health in mind?
