Part-Time Accounts Assistant/HR Administrator

Our client based in Letchworth Garden City are looking for a confident and professional Accounts Assistant/HR Administrator to work in their busy head office. The right candidate will have previous accounts experience and be familiar working with highly confidential information.  Exposure to HR is an advantage however not essential.

Job Description 

The Accounts Assistant role is a key position within the organisation, working within a small finance team. The individual will need to be an excellent team player, able to communicate effectively at all levels in the Company. 

Duties will include; 

·         Matching, coding and inputting of Purchase Ledger Invoices onto Sage

·         Reconciling supplier statements and dealing with payment queries

·         Processing expenses

·         Upload Bacs run twice monthly

·         HR Administration, to include -  filing, holiday forms, keeping HR paperwork up to date in line with external consultant advice, working with Managing Director, processing confidential information

·         Supporting other members of finance team at busy periods 

Required Skills 

·         Good all round accounts knowledge

·         Excellent attention to detail

·         Confidential approach to work – familiar working with confidential information

·         Knowledge of Sage and intermediate knowledge of Excel

·         Able to work in a team and independently

·         Able to work to tight deadlines

·         Highly organized

·         Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn 

Benefits 

·         Working 20 hours per week, increasing to 25 hours in busy times

·         Flexible working hours, however ideally a 9.15am start

·         Salary between £22,000 - £24,000 pro rata

·         23 days holiday + bank holidays

·         Free onsite parking

·         5% employers pension contribution
