Our client is a local Town Council that are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Cemetery & Allotment Officer to effectively administer the operation of the Cemetery and its two allotment sites. The successful candidate will be a strong administrator.

Administrator – Benefits Offered

  • £26,873 - £28,770 per annum
  • 37 hours per week
  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, plus 2 concessionary days, rising to 30 days after 5 years.

  • Evening and weekend work required occasionally


Administrator - Job Overview

  • Manage all aspects of cemetery operations including receiving interment requests, processing applications and fees, maintaining accurate records, coordinating groundworks and memorials and attending interments
  • Oversee allotment operations by managing tenancies, inspections, dealing with enquiries and complaints, and supporting allotment associations
  • Provide front-line customer service by handling public enquiries in person and over the phone
  • Promote and develop the council's cemetery and allotment services by identifying improvements and updates to practices, policies, and procedures

 

Administrator - Skills & Experience Required

  • A-Levels or equivalent qualifications/experience in administration
  • Excellent IT skills with Microsoft Office suite
  • Outstanding communication and organisational abilities
