Utilities Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a detail-focused and proactive Utilities Manager to join a dynamic team, with a core focus on identifying, investigating, and resolving utility invoice discrepancies and billing issues. This role is vital to ensuring the accuracy of supplier invoicing and maintaining clean, reliable data across internal systems. You’ll play a key part in liaising with suppliers, Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), and internal stakeholders to ensure billing integrity, timely resolution of issues, and smooth approval workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve utility invoice discrepancies during validation
• Liaise directly with suppliers and DNOs to challenge and follow up on anomalies
• Retain and manage key supplier relationships, avoiding reliance on generic customer service routes
• Escalate supplier issues when required to maintain quality of service
• Provide updates and clear communication to internal teams, including Finance and other system users
• Maintain accurate and clean data within Systemslink or similar platforms
• Ensure resolution of issues prior to invoice approval

Skills and Experience Required

• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot and resolve data discrepancies
• Tenacious, proactive, and confident working independently to complete tasks
• Proficient in Excel (handling large datasets and formulas)
• Strong communicator, both written and verbal
• Organised, adaptable, and quick to learn new systems
• Experience with utility billing, suppliers, or energy systems
• Familiarity with Systemslink or similar platforms and invoice approval workflows

Benefits Offered

• £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
• Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm (Hybrid working)
