Accountant

Our client are a small but well-established accountancy practice in Stevenage, who are recruiting an an Accountant to join their team.

Accountant (Accountancy Practice)  – Benefits Offered

• Salary £30,000 - £35,000
• Annual bonus
• Monday – Friday / 8.00am – 4.30pm or 9.00am - 5.30pm
• 20 days holiday + bank holidays

• Due to the nature of the role, this is an office based position

Accountant (Accountancy Practice)  - Job Overview

As an Accountant your duties will include;

• Preparation of year end statutory accounts and corporate tax returns
• Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
• Dealing with HMRC client queries
• Bookkeeping for various clients using Xero, Quickbooks & SAGE and other bespoke systems
• Maintenance of client records
• Supporting other members of the team where necessary

Accountant (Accountancy Practice)  - Skills & Experience Required

• AAT qualified
• Knowledge and experience in Sage 50, Xero and Quickbooks
• Excellent knowledge and experience of accounting processes ideally within an Accountancy Practice
• Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to multi task
