Assistant Management Accountant

Working closely with senior finance colleagues, this role is ideal for someone part-qualified (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) who is eager to gain valuable experience across a broad range of finance functions. You’ll support financial reporting, reconciliations, forecasting, and project-based accounting activities.

Assistant Management Accountant - Benefits 

• £30,000 - £35,000 per annum 
• Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm
• Hybrid working
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays 

Assistant Management Accountant - Job Overview 

• Prepare and publish daily cash reports to senior management
• Assist with monthly cash forecasting and internal banking data
• Compile internal customer spend, sales analysis, and weekly KPI reporting
• Support with sales and cost of sales reconciliations using IFS ERP system
• Investigate invoice pricing issues and irregularities
• Support the monthly management accounts process, particularly gross profit reporting
• Provide data for ONS reports and support finance audits
• Assist with the lease accounting project and future module management
• Help with annual budget preparation and general finance projects
• Provide day-to-day support to Senior Management Accountants

Assistant Management Accountant - Skills & Experience Required

• AAT qualified, AAT finalist, or at the early stages of ACCA/CIMA
• Proficient in Excel, with strong reconciliation and data analysis skills
• 2-5 years previous experience in a finance role 
• Must be local to the Cambourne area (role requires office presence 3 days per week)
• Valid UK driving licence essential due to location
