Production Operative

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and innovative manufacturer? We are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Technician to join a growing team in Letchworth Garden City on a double day shift basis.

About the Role

As a Manufacturing Technician, you will play a key role within the manufacturing team, carrying out a variety of tasks to support the production process. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality results, maintaining safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Working collaboratively with your colleagues, you will contribute to achieving departmental KPIs and ensuring excellent customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operating and supporting manufacturing processes including weighing materials, discharging raw material tanks, transferring stock, and mixing/dispensing colours.

• Booking in and processing raw materials.

• Fully operating a coating line workstation.

• Supporting stock control activities, including stock takes.

• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and completing audits.

• Ensuring Health & Safety compliance at all times and proactively contributing to a safe working environment.

• Supporting continuous improvement and OEE targets through innovation and teamwork.

About You

We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician who can demonstrate:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).

• Strong teamwork skills with a proactive and flexible approach.

• Problem-solving ability with a “can do” attitude.

• Good communication, organisational, and time management skills.

• PC literacy and numerical ability.

• Willingness to take responsibility, drive improvements, and further develop skills.

Forklift truck experience and the ability to lift up to 15kgs would be an advantage.
