Stock Controller 

A thriving, fast-growing and highly successful organisation within the distribution sector is seeking an experienced and detail-driven Stock Controller to join their supportive and forward-thinking warehouse team. Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £29000
Working hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm with some flexibility for support in the business on alternative hours.

Job Overview

As a Stock Controller, your duties will include:

• Maintaining high levels of stock accuracy through effective stock control processes

• Completing cycle counts, variance investigations and resolving discrepancies

• Supporting goods-in accuracy by validating inbound deliveries

• Updating warehouse management systems (WMS/ERP) with reliable and accurate data

• Providing stock reports and insights to support operational decision-making

• Ensuring all stock is stored correctly and bin locations remain organised

• Supporting replenishment processes across all warehouse channels

• Acting as a key point of contact for stock-related queries

• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

• Supporting peak periods, audits and ad-hoc operational tasks

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong experience within stock control, inventory or warehouse operations

• Excellent attention to detail with a methodical, organised approach

• Confident using warehouse systems (WMS/ERP) and Excel and computer illiterate

• Strong communicator, able to work cross-functionally with warehouse, purchasing and logistics teams

• Proactive problem solver with a positive, team-focused attitude

• Reliable, calm under pressure and able to prioritise effectively

• Understanding of goods-in processes, replenishment and stock rotation

• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining accuracy
