An exciting opportunity has become available for a proactive and well-organised Administrator to join a growing team within a busy project-led construction environment. This varied and fast-paced role is ideal for someone confident supporting multiple stakeholders and maintaining structured administrative processes.
This is a wholly office based position in St Albans working 8am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday with 25 days holiday, healthcare, free onsite parking, an enhanced pension scheme and on site gym.
About the Role
As Administrator, you’ll support project delivery by coordinating key admin tasks such as maintaining accurate contract documentation, raising purchase orders, issuing invoices, and organising travel and meetings. You’ll also liaise with suppliers and contractors, ensuring goods are delivered on time and systems remain up to date and organised.
Administrator – Key Responsibilities
- Upload documentation (quotes, invoices, purchase orders, contracts) to internal systems
- Raise and receipt purchase orders; arrange material returns when needed
- Track deliveries and support purchasing requirements for the coordination team
- Maintain organised, up-to-date electronic contract files
- Book travel and accommodation for project staff
- Respond to internal and external queries via phone and email
- Attend client meetings where needed, with note-taking responsibilities
- Support wider team with ad hoc admin duties as required
Skills and Experience Required
- Previous administration experience in a busy team environment
- Excellent organisation and record-keeping skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Confident using Microsoft Office and handling email and data entry
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths (grades 9–4 / A*–C)
