A great opportunity has arisen for an organised and detail-focused Part-Time Finance Assistant to join a friendly and professional team. This role offers flexibility around working hours and days (20-25 hours a week). 

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales ledger: raise copy invoices, process Direct Debit mandates, support monthly runs, and complete bank reconciliations

  • Purchase ledger: process POs, check and authorise invoices, complete payment runs, and reconcile statements

  • Process credit notes, car lease journals, expenses, and mileage reports

  • Support aged debtor reviews and liaise with departments on outstanding balances

  • Monitor finance inbox and respond to queries professionally and promptly

  • Assist with quarterly billing processes related to telecoms and waste

  • Support membership billing cycles and provide ad hoc admin assistance

  • Manage holiday/sickness records via HR software and provide reception cover as needed


Skills and Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a finance or accounts assistant role

  • Proficient in using Sage and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

  • Strong attention to detail and good communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively

  • A team player who is confident working independently when needed


    Benefits

  • 20 - 25 hours (flexible on how this is split) 
  • Monday to Friday 
  • £25,000 pro rata
