An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join a supportive finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, and supporting a variety of finance tasks in a busy environment.
About the Role
As Finance Assistant, you’ll work closely with the Finance & HR Director and wider team to deliver accurate and timely financial processes. From invoicing and reconciliations to handling queries and supporting supplier payments, this is a varied role that offers plenty of scope to build your skills and develop your career.
Key Responsibilities
• Create and send one-off, quarterly, and annual invoices
• Maintain invoicing trackers and keep systems up to date
• Reconcile customer payments and support debtor management
• Liaise with internal teams and external customers on finance queries
• Support in-contract activity and resolve volume or billing adjustments
• Monitor the finance inbox and triage queries as needed
• Process supplier invoices and manage communications with suppliers and customers
Skills & Experience Required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to prioritise workloads
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all work
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Proactive, self-motivated attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Car Driver essential due to location of monthly team meetings
Desirable:
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
• AAT Level 2 or 3 qualification (or working towards)
