Finance Administrator

We have an exciting opportunity available to join a well-established company as a Finance Administrator in Welwyn Garden City! Working as part of a friendly, experienced and dynamic team, you will be responsible for supporting a team with all aspects of financial administration.

Finance Administrator – The Details

• £27,000 - £28,000 per annum 
• 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday
• Hybrid working after completion of probation

Finance Administrator - Job Overview

• Process both sales and purchase ledger for the department 
• Provide purchase order numbers where required to team members, suppliers & sub-contractors
• Monitor the forecasted values to enable as accurate as possible monthly profit prediction
• Ensure all works and callouts are accounted for and logged on to the system
• Receiving all invoices in to the department and ensuring all are chased and received each month
• Check all invoices and costs are correct in line with current agreed charges
• Ensure all invoices are entered into and raised in Sage
• Ensure all invoices are sent out in the relevant method as specifically requested by customers
• Resolve customer / contractor / supplier invoice queries in a timely manner

Finance Administrator - Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience in a finance role
• Experience with both purchase and sales ledger processing
• Comfortable managing a high volume of invoices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – especially for internal relationship building
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• A desire to grow into a more analytical finance role over time
• Confident working with finance systems and data extraction tools
