We have a fantastic opportunity for a Customer Support Live Chat professional to join a growing and supportive business on the night shift.
This position is ideal for someone with strong written communication skills, who thrives working independently and takes pride in delivering a first-class customer experience — even while the rest of the world sleeps!
Location: Stevenage (Office-based with hybrid flexibility once trained)
Salary: to £34,000 per annum + Benefits
Hours: 11:00pm – 8:00am
As a Customer Support Live Chat Agent, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers during overnight hours, providing professional assistance via email and live chat. You’ll investigate queries, resolve issues quickly, and ensure that every interaction leaves customers feeling supported and valued.
Working as part of a small, friendly team, you’ll help maintain smooth operations through the night, keeping accurate records and escalating complex issues when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to live chat and email enquiries promptly and professionally
- Resolve account, payment, and access issues efficiently
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer records
- Follow company policies and compliance processes at all times
- Escalate urgent or technical matters to the relevant departments
- Maintain high standards of written communication and customer care
About You
- Previous experience in an office-based customer service or live chat environment (essential)
- Excellent written English — grammar and spelling accuracy are key
- Confident handling customer enquiries via multiple digital channels
- Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently during night shifts
- Highly organised with great attention to detail
- Confident using multiple IT systems and communication tools
