A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Sales Manager with advertising/ publishing experience to join a well-established publishing and events business. This is a varied and rewarding role working on a portfolio of niche-sector publications and exhibitions, ideal for someone with a background in advertising sales and a genuine interest in architecture or historic landscapes.
You’ll join a small but friendly and dedicated team and take responsibility for managing the sale of advertisement space across a range of quarterly, annual, and biannual publications, while supporting broader business events and membership services.
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9:00am–5:00pm)
Salary: £24,000 per annum + Commission
Start Date: Immediate start available
Key Responsibilities
- Manage advertisement sales into a portfolio of print publications
- Build strong client relationships and identify commercial opportunities
- Work closely with the Production and Sales Administration Manager to ensure seamless delivery
- Maintain accurate records using CRM systems
- Support event planning and attend the annual Historic Buildings, Parks & Gardens exhibition
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to meet deadlines and targets
- Provide a professional and proactive service to a wide range of heritage-sector clients
Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience in advertisement sales or magazine publishing (essential)
- Confident communicator with excellent telephone and email skills
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage tasks independently
- Strong IT skills; familiarity with CRM systems advantageous
- Organised and detail-focused with a positive, can-do attitude
- An interest in heritage, historic buildings, architecture, or landscapes is beneficial
