Stores Assistant

Thriving and highly respected engineering business based in Biggleswade have a new opportunity for a detail-focused and proactive individual to join their team as a Stores Assistant, supporting the day-to-day running of a fast-paced Stores Department within a busy and technical environment.

Job Overview

As a Stores Assistant, your duties will include:

• Picking and issuing parts required for job kits.

• Checking incoming paperwork and certification for accuracy on receipt of new parts.

• Logging parts into the system accurately and efficiently.

• Assisting production teams with parts and tooling requests.

• Liaising with other departments to ensure smooth internal operations.

• Carrying out stock checks and manual handling duties as required.

• Supporting the wider team by adjusting to changing priorities and ensuring work meets customer and schedule requirements.

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience working in a stores or warehouse environment.

• Basic IT skills with a good level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• A team player with the ability to adapt in a dynamic setting.

• Full, clean driving licence (desirable).

• Forklift truck licence (desirable but not essential).

• An interest in or experience within the aviation or engineering sectors would be beneficial.
