Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm and a 4pm finish on a Friday!

Job Overview

As a Stores & Logistics Assistant your duties will include:

  • Supporting the receipt, inspection, storage and dispatch of parts in line with industry and safety standards

  • Maintaining accurate stock and system records within the inventory management system

  • Assisting with shipping documentation, customs processes and coordinating domestic and international logistics

  • Ensuring all components are handled, packaged and stored according to compliance and quality requirements

  • Liaising with suppliers, couriers and internal teams to ensure smooth operational flow

  • Participating in stock counts and audits to maintain accuracy

  • Taking part in an on-call rota to provide occasional out-of-hours logistics support

  • Learning and applying quality, traceability and regulatory requirements

  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within stores and logistics

  • Gradually taking on supervisory tasks as your knowledge and confidence grows

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or stores environment

  • Strong attention to detail with accurate record-keeping skills

  • Ability to use stock control or ERP systems

  • Good understanding of logistics and shipping processes

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Desirable:

  • Interest or experience within aviation, engineering, or technical industries

  • Knowledge of export, customs, or dangerous goods regulations

  • Understanding of industry certification or documentation

  • Forklift licence or relevant training (beneficial but not essential)
