This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and highly organised Office Manager to join a well-established, busy accountancy firm. If you thrive in a professional services environment and enjoy being the go-to person for both clients and colleagues, this role could be perfect for you.

As Office Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. Working closely with the Practice Manager and leadership team, you’ll oversee client administration, facilities, compliance, and general office coordination. This hands-on and varied position suits someone who enjoys responsibility, excels under pressure, and takes pride in maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of daily office operations to ensure a professional and efficient environment
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client queries, delivering exceptional service and support
  • Maintain AML (Anti-Money Laundering) compliance and client documentation
  • Oversee facilities management including supplier liaison, maintenance, and health & safety coordination
  • Support the Practice Manager with compliance, administrative, and project-based work
  • Manage client onboarding, correspondence, and file maintenance using IRIS and Xero
  • Prepare and issue invoices and reports as required
  • Organise company events, including the annual party and team activities
  • Assist with HR administration, IT coordination, and general office support

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven Office Manager experience within an accountancy practice (essential)
  • Proficiency in IRIS and Xero software (essential)
  • Strong understanding of AML and compliance procedures
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a professional and approachable manner
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work independently in a busy environment
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general IT systems
  • A proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused approach
