An exciting opportunity has become available to join a well-established company in Welwyn Garden City. Working as part of a friendly, experienced and dynamic team, you will be responsible for providing efficient support and comprehensive advice to employees and line managers in relation to HR policies and procedures.

HR Assistant - Job Overview

As a HR Assistant your duties will include;

  • Provide employee relations advice and support to help resolve grievance, disciplinary, absence & performance management issues; follow up with associated administration
  • Attend / chair any HR related meeting, producing accurate notes and follow up administration
  • Manage end to end recruitment solutions including managing a PSL
  • Prepare all new starter documentation ensuring compliance and manage the induction process
  • Facilitate the appraisal and probationary review process
  • Facilitate return to work interviews in line with company policy
  • Manage all maternity and paternity leave requests
  • Complete weekly / monthly payroll using Sage
  • Coordinate team building events including the annual Christmas party
  • Negotiate with benefits suppliers and review current benefits package quarterly

HR Assistant - Skills & Experience Required

  • A professional manner and attitude to work
  • Experience of working in a HR environment, advantageous if you have dealt with benefit suppliers
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A strong ability to work independently and as part of a team

HR Assistant – Benefits Offered

  • £25,000 - £28,000 salary
  • Working hours 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday
