Are you an experienced Quality Inspector with a background in manufacturing? Do you have strong measurement and inspection skills and confident using verniers, calipers, and engineering drawings? If so, we’d love to hear from you.
Our client, a well-established, successful, and highly respected manufacturing business based in Welwyn Garden City, is looking to recruit a Quality Inspector on a permanent basis to join their growing quality team.

Job Overview: As a Quality Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring manufactured products meet customer specifications and quality standards throughout the production process.
Duties will include:
- First-off, last-off, patrol, and final inspections
- Carrying out visual and dimensional inspections
- Using measuring equipment including verniers, calipers, micrometers, gauges, and shadowgraphs
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Maintaining inspection and calibration records
- Supporting non-conformance investigations and root cause analysis
- Supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
- Working closely with production and quality teams to resolve issues
- Assisting with first article inspections and supplier quality activities
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience
- Previous Quality Inspection experience
- Confident using verniers and calipers
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using measuring equipment and inspection tools
- Lean manufacturing / continuous improvement mindset
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Experience working double day shifts is highly desirable
Desirable:
- FAIR / PPAP experience
- ISO9001 experience
- Root cause analysis experience
- CMM or optical measuring equipment knowledge
