IT Help Desk Technician - Job Overview
As an IT Help Desk Technician your duties will include;
- Delivering excellent customer service
- Encryption – build laptops from an image and encrypt USB key
- Password resets and new user set up
- Installation of IP phones
- Assisting with internal office moves and setting up new equipment as required
- Storeroom tidy up / asset management
- Supporting colleagues over the phone, via email and face to face
- Assisting with technical queries including laptops, phone systems and network cabling
- Using bespoke online system to update records and find relevant information
- Taking ownership of each call to ensure queries are resolved efficiently
- Liaise with external technical support advisors
IT Help Desk Technician - Skills & Experience Required
- Previous customer service experience in a technical environment
- PC and laptop hardware knowledge
- Previous IT service desk experience
- Clear understanding of Microsoft Office systems
- Proven ability to communicate with people at different levels
- Friendly and enthusiastic attitude
