Our client is a well-established company who due to a period of sustained growth have recently acquired a new, larger office and are looking to expand their teams further across several key departments.  If you are looking for a role where the focus is on maximising revenue through a warm, consultative approach to both business development and client account management then this is the perfect role for you! 

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for meeting sales revenue targets through a combination of handling incoming sales enquiries from potential new customers and developing existing customer accounts. You will be expected to maximise the revenue of your existing client base through researching potential additional sources of business and proactively ensuring regular contact is maintained with each of your individual clients. 

Duties will include;

  • Handling incoming sales enquiries from potential new customers and follow up leads
  • Assisting customers with product selection
  • Managing business development campaigns targeted at potential new customers
  • Researching and identifying potential new sales opportunities within existing client accounts
  • Following up on outstanding quotations
  • Liaise with external field sales personnel to develop potential new sources of business including arranging appointments for them to visit client offices
  • Assisting external field sales personnel with quotations, tenders and client follow ups
  • Ensuring that key prospects and existing clients are contacted regularly
  • Assist with exhibitions where required 

Required Skills

  • Previous experience in business development and account management within an engineering or scientific product environment
  • Ability to demonstrate a consultative sales style
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Proactive approach to client relationship management
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience working with Microsoft Dynamics would be beneficial 

Benefits

  • Salary up to £25,000 (dependent on experience)
  • Working hours Monday to Friday 09.00 – 17.00
